Mudstone is an Italian metal band set up in Saronno in 2008 by guitarist Lorenzo Tucceri Cimini.
The first lineup also included the other members Francesco Galimberti (drums), Andrea Strati (voice) and Davide De Robertis (bass).
Their first self-produced studio album titled “Mudstone” was recorded in 2010.
In their songs you hear all the influences that shaped the band’s sound:
hard rock and modern metal, melody and aggressiveness, but most important the inspiration coming from the groups that made the history of this genre
(Metallica, Black Sabbath, Pantera and Slipknot only to mention a few).
After new bassist Luca Ciuti and second guitarist Riccardo Dotti joined the band,
Mudstone started to work on fresh material for their second studio album “Scars”, released in 2014.
Mudstone lyrics cover such topics as war, good versus evil, nihilism, abuse of power and alienation.
The approach of the band has remained the same: simply playing the music they enjoy and do best, but moving further to a more violent and personal sound characterized by distinctive instrumental performance.
